As I was putting up my Fall decorations today I cannot tell you how hard it was. I miss you the most in Fall for whatever reason. I haven't been here in quite some time now anyhow just dropped in to say well hmmm... I will let a song say it for me...it is what my heart feels... Happy Birthday!!! Hope U dont mind a GUEST dropping in just wanted to let you know the earth brings you a special gift on your birthday this year as Leonid Meteor Shower peaks on the 17th & the 18th of NOV. They say you can tune in your radio and here the meteors I'm guessing on your birthday the 17th might be the best chance to hear them. Guess U are supposed to tune to lower frequencies like 91.1 FM or so later in the evening around 11 pm??? Probably if U are ineterested you could find info about it on line. This special birthday enjoy the Leonid Meteor Shower won't be back for another 33 years. U may or may not get a chance to see it or hear it again. Hope your birthday is the best ever!!!

Wow, what dedicated admirers. That's the kind of response I would want for my pbase postings. I like the poetry as well. I write poetry and often abandon the words for the images.....it was your 'name' that intrigued me. So, you are a John. Hope you click into me and tell me your reaction. Anyway, it was nice to see your unusual work. What struck me was the headstone. I didn't upload mine, but that's how I shot my fathers: with my mother's feet and the stone. Thanks for visiting my galleries, John.....I see that your galleries are full of what I miss the most from home...the autumm colors of changing leaves. Down here in south Texas, it's perpetual green, so I never get to see fall colors or walk thru the leaves like I used to. The good thing is, I don't have to shovel tons of snow anymore....although I do miss snow. We're a weird old human race, wishing for and dreading something at the same time. Thanks Michael Martin

Saw your nice blurred chicago winter bench. Why do snow scenes often appear to have a very blue Hue? My Finland pictures of Lapland also had this blue hue?
