Dear mt_wallet. I am a medieval historian in Oxford--and I would like to use a photograph of yours of Richard I's "tomb" in Rouen in a book that I am putting together on the medieval Oxford Jewish quarter. The chapters are arranged over 9 reigns and I am collecting photographs of each of the 9 kings to use on the first page of the chapter about events in the Jewish quarter during their reign. I am self-publishing this book at the request of the general public to whom I give tours of the medieval Jewry, and who have requested something to read to follow up on the subject. I am unable to pay fees for the use of any photos, but, I would like to fully credit any photographer generously willing to let his photo be used. The photo I would like to use is dated 12-june-2008, entitled "Tomb of Richard The Lion Heart Cathedral Notre Dame Rouen". Would you allow me to use this photo and if would so generously do so, how would you like to be credited? Do you have any memory of the date of these images (the statues, I mean---they look later than the gisants of Richard, Henry and Eleanor of Aquitaine in Fontevraud. By the way, your photo is particularly pleasing (which is why I would like to have it appear as the chapter frontispiece for Richard I). With all best hope, Pam Manix Thanks.
