Hi Peter,
thanks for showing us all those nice pictures.
I found your site because I was searching for mangosteen. And also, we have exactly the same name.

Thanks for the kind words. The Bobcat was captive and I was messing around with a new lens I had bought. It came out ok. The cat was behind a chicken wire type fence. Since I live here in the city any wildlife is better than nothing. Tony

Thanks for your comments. I loved your Greenland gallery - I love these type of landscapes, a few years ago I flew over Greenland and was completelty mesmerized by the view out my window (FYI - I'm a geologist). I'd love to go an visit sometime, for now I'll have to content myself with my recent trip to Patagonia.

BTW - I answered your question regarding -http://www.pbase.com/pyanez/image/53869549 - Your turn now - what is pictured in "disks"?

Hi Peter, thanks for the kind comment on my owl picture. Most people can't believe the amount of wildlife in Central Park. The good (and bad) thing is that there are always so many birders/nature lovers around, that news of an owl or rare bird/butterfly etc spreads very quickly.

Peter, Thanks for the correction to my incorrectly labeled lady's slipper athttp://www.pbase.com/image/52674622 - I changed it to "Showy".

Peter ,
Your pictures made me sick.... HOME SICK that is ...lol I grew up in Scoresbysund, now reciding in North Pole Alaska. I wish you had more pics from there as I would love to see how the town has developed since I left. I left in 1972 and truely miss it. I helped raise orphaned polar bears and had my own dogteam. Thanks for sharing,
akpolarmom
Ps Would love to hear from you.

Wonderful photographs of Romania.

I wonder if you were aware of the fact that a large number of Hollingers living in Romania were killed in the Holocaust in WW II?

Most of our Hollinger (Hullinger) history is protestant, from Aargau
Switzerland.

I don't know the connection to Romania.

Hi Peter,
so you can more more than simulate economic models. I never forget a simulation that was unstable. You moved a term from one side of the equation to the other and the solution converged. What about the n-dimensional timeseries in TROLL? Nice feature.

You have a lot of pictures of birds. Birds are very interesting animals. I once decided to study birds, but instead ended up studying economics and mathematics. But with http://multifinanceit.com/ I have a birdseye view of the economy.

Thank you for the kind words about my pictures. I am such a dummy with digital technology and I have two genius nieces at it. I have a relative on Wyman Road in Cambridge--are you familiar with the area. Cambridge has such wonderful scenery and structures to photograph and you do them so well. Coleen

Hi Peter, thanks for visiting my gallery and the kind words. All of the pictures were 4 second exposures and the camera movement was intentional for the effect. There were multiple fireworks in that 4 secs which added to the effect. Now on to the important stuff.. You have a lot of great photos here, but I think my favorites are the B&W (especially the one of the boy and girl in the water). They are priceless and have so much character. JMH

Thanks, Peter. We have had a turtle or two cross the road where we live. It is kind of strange to see as we are in the middle of the woods where you would expect to see a deer crossing the road.

Peter,
Thanks for visiting my site. You have nice galleries giving us a view of your travels.
I'm impressed with the Greenland pictures. Makes me want to go there soon.
This year I've been taking lots of insect pictures, and am starting to learn about them.
There are just so many different ones, it's hard to get them identified to more than just genus or family. Keep up the good work.
