Message from Simon Blears
Hi and greetings from Perth, Western Australia,
I recently got back into photography when a friend got me to bring a Nikon 5700 back to Oz for him from the US in late 2003. In early 2004, I got a workmate to bring me one back too! Since then, I have been learning more and more. How I wish I had a digital camera back when I went to India in 2001! Please feel free to leave comments, ask questions or just look. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I enjoy taking them.
Feb, 2005: I have just sold my Nikon 5700 and am now the owner of a Canon 20D, which is my first SLR camera. I expect a big learning curve in lenses, exposure, white balance etc which are all things that I usually left as automatic on the old system :-)
Mar, 2007: I've just upgraded to a Canon 5D with a 24-105 USM IS L lens, so I hope I will be able to treat it accordingly and take some more great photo's.
Aug, 2007: I gave up on Pbase on this date. It was too slow and, although it's got a good interface for me, Zenfolio is better for the users. So, go here for new updates: http://simonb.zenfolio.com/
Nov, 2014: I have had my Pbase account resurrected and will be transferring a lot of the data to the Zenfolio site.
